Our Mission

Believing in the presence of God, the value of human life and the dignity of the individual, the mission of Lutheran Homes of South Carolina, Inc. as a ministry of the church, is to promote the well-being of older adults by providing residential, health care and hospice services.

Highlights: A Year in Review

  • Cared for over 1,000 older adult residents daily at Franke at Seaside in Mt. Pleasant, the Heritage at Lowman in White Rock, Rice Estate in Northeast Columbia, RoseCrest in Inman and Trinity on Laurens in Aiken
  • Provided over 42,000 care visits for 175 hospice patients and their family members through offices of Lutheran Hospice located in Columbia, Greenville and Mt. Pleasant
  • Served over 600 clients of BeWell Home Services to provide 135,000 hours of assistance in the Midlands, Lowcountry, Upstate and Aiken areas
  • The LHSC Foundation provided significant funding to enhance programming, make capital improvements, and subsidize the care of residents, hospice patients and clients.
